  1. This was a really fun movie to watch. There were a whole lot of little quips that still hold up today and the main science fiction message could potentially be very applicable in the future.
There were several moments with the female character that came off a bit rapey if I can say that. The captain basically tells the girls father that he should let the crew enjoy his daughter's company. Also, one of the crewmen starts kissing her and telling her everyone does it on earth and tries to play it off like the act was as normal as shaking hands. I guess this does take place in the future, so who am I to say otherwise? Naivety aside, the love interest sub-plot didn't bother me in this movie like so many others do. They didn't conform to the cliche of the main character getting the girl.
Robby the Robot is wonderful and makes me wish I had my own robot that could synthesize hundreds of bottles of brand labeled bourbon at my command. I would be rich.
This movie was aesthetically pleasing and kept a smile on my face for the most of it.
    9/10 will happily enjoy again.
